Our History
Our story began on May 13, 1939, thanks to the vision of employees from the Arkansas Louisiana Gas Company (Arkla) in Shreveport, Louisiana. What started with humble beginnings quickly grew as we became a trusted financial partner for our members. Our name, “ANECA,” stands for Arkansas Natural Employees Credit Association, a proud reflection of our roots.
Over the decades, we’ve navigated challenges like World War II, economic changes, and shifting industry regulations, all while expanding the services we offer and the communities we serve. By the 1990s, we added modern conveniences like checking accounts and debit cards, and in 2009, we embraced a community charter, extending our reach across Northwest Louisiana.
Today, we remain deeply committed to helping our members achieve their financial goals. By providing financial education and personalized service, we continue to honor our legacy of community-focused care—a legacy built on trust, resilience, and a shared vision for a brighter financial future.
